Man Killed in Crash on I-90 in Hopkinton

A man is dead after crashing into a tractor-trailer Wednesday evening on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

According to Massachusetts State Police, a Jeep driven by a 30-year-old Beverly man crashed into the back of the truck around 6:30 p.m. in Hopkinton. The crash took place on the eastbound side of Interstate 90, just before the exit to Interstate 495.

Firefighters worked to free the driver from the vehicle, but he was determined to have died from his injuries. His identity has not been released.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 42-year-old Quebec man, was not injured.

The right lane of I-90 east was still closed hours after the crash as police investigated.
