A man suffered critical injuries in a stabbing Tuesday afternoon in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
Officers responded to the incident on Senator Bolling Circle just before 3:15 p.m., Boston police said.
The man who was stabbed was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. There was no update on his condition Tuesday evening.
The crime scene was taped off as investigators talked to neighbors and collected evidence while working to determine what led to the stabbing. There was no word on a possible motive.

Some neighbors told NBC10 Boston the area is very quiet and they were quite surprised to hear what happened.
“I just moved here. So didn’t expect this," Julissa Nunez said. "I was upstairs and got the notification because we got the Ring camera, and it notified us that someone got stabbed.”
Police did not immediately name a possible suspect or say if anyone had been arrested.
