Big Rig, Pickup Truck Crash in Holliston, Mass., Immediate Area Shut Down

Two people were injured Monday morning in a crash involving a tractor-trailer truck in Holliston, Massachusetts.

Officers responded to the crash in the area of 220 Hopping Brook Rd. just before 11 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls.

When officers arrived, the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck was trapped outside of the vehicle suffering from multiple injuries.

The driver, a 53-year-old man, was treated at the scene and then taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston by medical helicopter.

The driver of the tractor-trailer truck, a 67-year-old man from Whitman, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The crash prompted the closure of Hopping Brook Road until the scene was cleared but it has since been reopened.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
