A New Hampshire man is accused of physically abusing an infant.
Keene police say 24-year-old Derek J. Forcier was charged with first degree assault.
Investigators say they opened a case with the state's child welfare agency after a boy less than 1 years old had been treated for a broken left leg earlier this month.
Forcier was arrested on Tuesday and was released on $15,000 personal recognizance bail.
He's due back in court on Oct. 6.
It's unclear if he has an attorney.
