An overnight crash in Walpole, Massachusetts has killed one woman.
According to Massachusetts State Police, they were called to the scene on Route 95 North in Walpole just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered a 2017 Ford Escape, driven by Sara F. Kaufman, 44, of Wrentham, was traveling northbound when it drove off the left side of the roadway. It struck the beginning section of a guardrail, then rolled, coming to rest partially on the guardrail.
Kaufman was determined to be deceased on scene as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash.
The crash caused extensive guardrail damage that will require repair, police said.
The two left lanes of I-95 northbound were closed as officials responded to the crash. They were reopened just before 6 a.m. Sunday.
The crash remains under investigation.
