Police Investigate Shooting in Swampscott, Mass.

Police say the victim was shot in the arm from someone outside his home

Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Swampscott.

The shooting took place at about 4 a.m. at 11 Erie Street.

Authorities said a 23-year-old man was standing in his living room when he heard a noise and felt something hit his arm. The man was injured by a bullet in the arm by an unknown party outside of the house, according to police.

The man was taken to Salem Hospital to undergo surgery for non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation. Anybody with information can contact Swampscott Police Detectives at 781-595-1111.
