It will be dry tonight, with a mix of clouds and a clear sky, patchy fog and lows in the 40s.
There is a chance to see the Northern Lights tonight across northern New England thanks to a solar storm. Be sure to send in your pics or videos so we can share them on air!
A warm front lifts through Friday morning, bringing some clouds and a shower or two. We dry by afternoon across southern New England and soar to near 70 again, cooler on the south coast. Northern New England will have more widespread rain through the day as the low pressure center passes just to the north.
The cold front attached to that low sweeps across southern New England by Friday evening. This means scattered showers and a couple thunderstorms will be likely, ending by late evening as long as the front gets by. With any storm that develops Friday evening, we may see small hail, gusty 0.wind, a downpour and lightning.
Our weekend is still mainly on track with lots of warmth and mostly dry weather. High pressure settles in during the afternoon and we have a picture-perfect start to the weekend with highs in the 70s, cooler coast. Sunday will be in the mid-70s with a warm front lifting north through New England. A shower chance is there, but most of us stay dry in southern New England with increasing clouds. Plan on scattered showers north and temps in the 60s.
