Boston has set a new record high temperature for April 11. The temperature is currently 84 degrees in the city, six degrees higher than the old record of 78.
Here's a look at some other New England cities and towns that have already set record high temperatures on Tuesday:
- Nashua, New Hampshire: 88 degrees (previous high of 84)
- Lawrence, Massachusetts: 87 degrees (previous high of 80)
- Windsor Locks, Connecticut: 87 degrees (previous high of 79)
- Chicopee, Massachusetts: 87 degrees (previous high of 79)
- Blue Hill, Massachusetts: 83 degrees (previous high of 78)
- Worcester, Massachusetts: 81 degrees (previous high of 78)
Next up is a weak front crossing New England from northwest to southeast with scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight and into Wednesday. The temperature on Wednesday may not set records, but at close to 70 degrees it's plenty warm. Just keep an eye on the sky for a quick moving shower or thunderstorm.

If it does rain, it should last only 15 or 20 minutes.
Ultimately it's a 50/50 blend of clouds and sunshine. Wind is light and variable for our Wednesday, with the exception of a possibly gusty thunderstorm.
Cooler and drier air comes in at night with partial clearing and a low temperature back down into the 40s.
Thursday is a blend of sunshine and fairweather clouds with a high temperature in the 50s to near 60 degrees. Wind from the northwest may be gusting past 25 mph, adding a little bit of a chill to the air.
High pressure moves in for Friday, which looks beautiful, at close to 60 degrees.
A larger weather system arrives later Saturday with fading sunshine and a chance of some rain developing around sunset. Highs will be in the 50s to low 60s.
Easter Sunday may dawn gray with showers and perhaps some fog and drizzle. But the weather system keeps on moving with increasing sunshine during the afternoon and temperatures warming back to near 70 degrees.
The outlook for Marathon Monday is for breezy and mild weather with a high temperature in the 50s north to 60s south, along with plenty of sunshine.
The humidity level looks very low. Perhaps a cooling seabreeze right along the shore.
