Willie McGinest Believes Rob Gronkowski Will Sit Out Until Late in the 2019 Season

Rob Gronkowski's future in football remains unclear. His own agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he doesn't yet know whether the Patriots tight end plans on retiring.

But for whatever it's worth, former Pats linebacker Willie McGinest has a prediction for how Gronk will approach the 2019 campaign. McGinest said Tuesday night on NFL Network that he believes Gronkowski will "take a break for a while" and possibly return "deep into the season".

Hear everything McGinest had to say in the clip below:

It's worth emphasizing that McGinest's comments are purely speculation and no decision for Gronk appears to be imminent. However, the 29-year-old has dealt with a myriad of serious injuries throughout his career and has been vocal about how the physicality of the NFL impacts players.
