David De Matteis es un periodista venezolano radicado en Estados Unidos y reportero del Noticiero Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra, que se transmite por WNEU/Telemundo Boston, WRDM/WDMR Telemundo Connecticut y WRIW/Telemundo Providence.
Se unió a Telemundo en abril de 2018, donde cubre noticias de último minuto y temas de importancia para la audiencia latina en el área de Boston y los seis estados de Nueva Inglaterra.
Antes de su trabajo en Telemundo, David De Matteis fue reportero en Univisión 23 en Miami, Florida, en 2017. Anteriormente, trabajó durante más de una década como periodista, productor, presentador (“anchor”) y corresponsal internacional en medios venezolanos como Martí Noticias, Globovisión, Televen y RCTV, donde se formó como comunicador integral con amplia experiencia en reportajes audiovisuales.
A lo largo de su carrera ha recibido múltiples premios y reconocimientos, entre ellos 5 premios Emmy, y fue condecorado con la Orden “Leoncio Martínez” en segunda clase por una década de labor reporteril y su defensa de la libertad de prensa en Venezuela así como numerosos reconocimientos otorgados por gobernaciones y alcaldías tanto en su natal Venezuela como en Estados Unidos.
De Matteis ha compartido públicamente parte de su trayectoria y su camino como inmigrante y profesional en entrevistas y espacios personales, resaltando su perseverancia y pasión por el periodismo.
