Judge dismisses Boston Beer's lawsuit against Downeast Cider

A patron’s beer at the Sam Adams Boston Tap Room at Faneuil Hall in Boston. The company’s lawsuit against competitor Downeast Cider has been dismissed.

A lawsuit from Samuel Adams brewer Boston Beer Co. against Downeast Cider that alleged an employee violated a noncompete clause has been dismissed.

A Suffolk Superior Court judge dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning the lawsuit can’t be tried again.
