New England's largest craft brewer has struck a deal with the Boston Red Sox.
Samuel Adams announced a multi-year partnership with the team making it "The Official Beer of the Boston Red Sox" on Tuesday.
The Boston-based brewery is the first American craft brewery to enter into such a partnership with a Major League Baseball team.
As a result of the deal, crowds will get to enjoy new beers alongside fan favorites like Boston Lager and Summer Ale.
There will also be new signs at Fenway, and the right field roof deck will now be known as the "Sam Deck," and a bar near the third base stands will be renamed "Sammy's On Third."
"We got our start right here in Boston, and for the past three decades we've worked our butts off to stay independent and brew great beer," Jim Koch, Samuel Adams founder and brewer, said in a statement. "As the official beer of the Red Sox, we get to celebrate our New England roots with millions of other fans as soon as the season kicks off."
The partnership will last for eight years, according to a Samuel Adams spokesperson.
"Both the Red Sox and Sam Adams are rooted in Boston tradition and history, and Jim Koch and the entire team are as passionate about beer as we are about baseball,” Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy said in a statement. "We are excited for this long-term partnership, and look forward to working collaboratively to represent Boston through our two brands."
