    Monday, Oct. 14

    Newburyport Fall Harvest Festival

    Newburyport’s Fall Harvest Festival takes place the Sunday and Monday of Columbus Day weekend with food, live music and family fun,a long with its 18th Annual Scarecrow Contest, craft vendor booths and more. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Downtown Newburyport.

    Royal Princess Meet & Greet

    Meet the princesses at the Burlington Mall today. At this Royal Princess Meet and Greet event.     The Annual Pumpkin Float returns for its sixth year featuring floating pumpkins, luminaries and family fun activities all at a free event the entire family will enjoy. Be sure to bring your own carved 8-inch pumpkins to join in the float as vent organizers will illuminate you and float them fo you as you watch the pond fill with glowing pumpkins. 5-8 p.m., Frog Pond, Boston Common.
