Firefighter Transported From 3-Alarm Boston Blaze

A firefighter was injured battling a 3-alarm fire in Boston's Charlestown neighborhood Saturday evening.

The fire broke out at a three-story apartment building on Washington Street.

Boston Fire confirmed around 8:15 p.m. that the heavy fire had been knocked down.

Officials say the responder was being transported by Boston EMS to be evaluated.

No civilians were injured.

It is estimated that about $750,000 in damage was caused.
