A woman ran an unlicensed daycare at her home in Hingham, Massachusetts, for three years, according to state and town documents released.

The town shuttered what the homeowner called a "babysitting service," after Hingham police received a complaint in June.

Police found 30 children at the house on Blue Sky Drive, all of them supervised by other children, documents said.

The state investigated and issued two cease and desist orders, one in June and another in July.

But the homeowner defied the first order and continued to operate without a license, documents said.

The homeowner may appeal the latest order, which also included a $250 fine.

The town shut down an "unlicensed camp," at the same house two years ago, according to documents.

The state will continue to monitor the house to ensure compliance with the latest order.

The homeowner could not be reached for comment.
