A kitesurfer was rescued Friday afternoon off Castle Island in South Boston.
Sky Ranger captured the rescue just before 5 p.m.
The initial call Boston Fire received was for a surfer in distress.
Boston Fire was able to reach the kitesurfer with a boat and make the rescue.
The exact condition of the surfer was unclear.
