A teenage boy is dead after being mauled by at least one dog Thursday night in Dighton, Massachusetts.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office confirms that a 14-year-old Rehoboth boy was killed in the attack on Maple Swamp Road. Police responded to a 911 call around 8 p.m. after a neighbor made the grisly discovery.

Officials said multiple dogs were taken into the custody of animal control. It is unclear what breed of dog was involved in the fatality.

Authorities said they do not think there was any foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.
