Charles Demos, 29, of Rochester, NH, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Jarrod Harris, 42, of Everett, MA

An arrest has been made after a man was shot and killed outside a hookah lounge and bar in Everett, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning.

Charles Demos, 29, of Rochester, New Hampshire, was arrested Sunday afternoon in connection with the shooting death of Jarrod Harris, 42, of Everett, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office and Everett police confirm.

Demos is facing charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was located at a Seabrook, New Hampshire, home and arrested on a fugitive from justice charge by Massachusetts State Police, with the assistance of the United States Marshal's Service and Seabrook police.

A preliminary investigation shows Harris was leaving Karma Lounge with a woman around 1 a.m. when a physical altercation occurred involving the couple, Demos and several others.

Police say during the altercation Demos allegedly went to a vehicle parked nearby and grabbed a firearm. He then allegedly pursued Harris, firing the gun multiple times and striking Harris twice, according to officials.

Good Samaritans on scene attempted to provide first aid but Harris was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect allegedly fled the scene in a Volkswagen Passat registered to someone in New Hampshire known to Demos.

Police also arrested the resident of the Seabrook home, identified as Joshua Demos, 35, on a federal probation violation unrelated to this case. The exact relationship between the two was not immediately clear.

Charles Demos will be arraigned Monday in Rockingham County District Court on the fugitive from justice charge. He will be arraigned at a later date in Malden District Court on the outstanding charges related to the shooting.

Joshua Demos will be arraigned Monday in Federal Court in Concord, New Hampshire.

It's unclear if either has a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Middlesex DA's Office, Massachusetts State Police and Everett police.
