2 Teens Shot in Dorchester as Violent Week in Boston Continues

Two teenagers were shot Wednesday night in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, authorities said.

Boston Police said a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old male victim were found shot on Michigan Avenue shortly before 10 p.m.

The victims were taken to a hospital. They are in critical but stable condition.

The incident was a latest in a spate of gun violence in Boston. Early Tuesday, three people were hospitalized after two shooting incidents in Dorchester and Mattapan, respectively.

"Teenagers shot in the street... It's not acceptable," Boston Police Commissioner William Gross told reporters after Wednesday's shooting.

Authorities are searching for a suspect.

No further information was immediately available.
