1 Person Dead After 2 Overnight Shootings in Boston

One person is dead and another is recovering from injuries after two overnight shootings in Boston.

Officers responded to the area of 134 Crawford Street in Roxbury around 11:39 p.m. Tuesday for a call of a person shot.

On arrival, police found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.

Thursday night, the victim was identified as 31-year-old Luis Martin Pinales-Perez.

Authorities responded to a second shooting on Wayland Street in Dorchester around 12:12 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other information was immediately available.

Boston police are actively investigating both shootings.
