Bride Weds in Hospital So Dying Father Could Walk Her Down the Aisle

Stanton told reporters her father was diagnosed with leukemia in February. "He has been in and out of the hospital, and on several medications and chemo treatments; yet nothing has seemed to work in his favor," <a href="https://www.facebook.com/lovewhatreallymatters/">she said</a>. Doctors told that family that in the next few weeks, her father will no longer be able to breathe.

Given the news of her father's life expectancy, and with the help of nurses, the bride and groom were able to have a surprise wedding so her father could attend. She said the whole day was a surprise to him.

"The doctors are now ready to place my father on hospice, but he still has the will, the spunk, and the humor to be completely alive," she told <a href="https://www.facebook.com/lovewhatreallymatters/">Love What Matters</a>. "This man has raised me since I was 3 years old; and now I get the chance to be there for him."
