Massachusetts police need the public's help in locating a California man who went missing from a Falmouth beach Friday afternoon.
Douglas Gold, 62, was last seen in the area of Surf Beach Bath House at about noon.
Despite an extensive search of the area by Falmouth police, along with the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit, Barnstable County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit, the U.S. Coast Guard Station—Woods Hole watercraft, and the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station—Cape Cod aircraft, authorities could not locate Gold.
Gold is described as 6'2" tall, 245 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He may be wearing glasses.
Police said Gold may be despondent.
