Chris-Crossing Pats Nation Day 3: Pats Fans in Atlanta

Throughout his travels, Chris will illustrate how Patriots Nation extends far beyond New England

Wednesday's Report From the Road: Atlanta

These fans may not be in New England at the moment, but the love for their team hasn’t wavered.

700 miles! It was our longest day on the road so far! We started in Baltimore and ended up in Atlanta.

Going into Falcons Territory we weren't sure what we were going to find. However, at the Hudson Grille, we found a lot of Patriots fans!

Most of the members of the club either move down here for work or were tired of the long, cold, snowy winters in New England. (Feeling the 70° warmth at the end of January, I can see their point.)

Even though they were originally from the Northeast, they showed us true southern hospitality! They even gave us a bag of goodies for the road. Inside that bag a 2 liter bottle of Coca-Cola, which was founded here in Atlanta and a bottle of champagne to celebrate when the Patriots win!

Day 3 Gloninger
NBC Boston

Due to a conference in Atlanta, it was tough to find a hotel. Thanks to Airbnb we are right next to the Georgia Dome. Fitting, right?

All this week, NBC Boston meteorologist Chris Gloninger is driving the Weather Warrior, our weather center on wheels, from Boston to the Super Bowl in Houston, visiting with Patriots fans at various stops along the way. Throughout his travels, Chris will illustrate how Patriots Nation extends far beyond New England. To experience some of his previous stops, click on the cities in the interactive map above. You can find Chris on Twitter at @ChrisGNBCBoston or on Facebook at Chris Gloninger NBC Boston.
