A 14-year old boy from Worcester, Massachusetts, is facing charges after allegedly making two explosive devices.
Police were called to Lincoln Street to a residential program for troubled youths after an employee reported that the boy had made the devices and then escaped from the facility.
After evacuating the building, a bomb squad retrieved the devices and dismantled them.
Police say the teen was seen traveling in a motor vehicle on Lincoln Street. That vehicle was pulled over and a family friend, who was driving, told police the teen came by his house to visit.
The driver told police he didn’t believe the teen’s story that he had a two-hour pass from the facility and was in the process of returning him.
He will be arraigned at a later date.
