Police Search for SUV After Barrage of Gunfire in Chelsea

Police are seeking information about an SUV after a barrage of gunfire damaged property in Chelsea, Massachusetts Monday night.

Chelsea Police Chief Brian Kyes said at least 27 shots were fired in the area of Tudor Street and Lawrence Street just before 9 p.m. Three vehicles and a house were hit.

Kyes posted a photo of a red or maroon SUV on Twitter. The SUV was last seen on surveillance video taking off down Lawrence Street toward Clark Avenue with its lights off.

Authorities said a preliminary investigation indicates that the incident was not random. Anyone who has seen the vehicle or knows anything is asked to call the 24 hour tips line at 617-466-4880.
