A splendid two days of weather has settled into New England, with sunshine expected both Wednesday and Thursday. Believe it or not, a cold front is crossing through Southern New England today, but it’ll happen with nothing more than a wind shift and some puffy, fair weather clouds.
Nonetheless, the new air moving in brings much less humidity and we’ll notice the fresh air by day’s end, followed by cool temperatures in the 50s and even some valley 40s in Northern New England overnight tonight. All the while, Hurricane Gert to our southeast will deliver waves building to as large as six feet late Wednesday and Wednesday night, resulting in a rip current at south-facing coasts.
Thursday looks splendid with sunshine and comfortable air, but deeper warmth and humidity will move toward New England again on Friday, and this will bring both increasing clouds and the likelihood of some rain showers. Showers very well may ramp up to a steady rain overnight Friday night before tapering Saturday, allowing for some breaks of sun and a reduced chance of scattered showers as temperatures return to around 80 degrees.
Another cold front crosses New England later Saturday, sweeping away humidity and bringing a renewed shot of comfortable and delightful weather for the start of next week. Our exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day Forecast shows warmth building ahead of yet another midweek cold front, then another shot of great air for the end of next week!
