Join NBC Boston in supporting the work of Boston Children's Hospital with the annual HAIRraising cut-a-thon on Sunday, May 21.
Salons across the country will participate in HAIRraising for Boston Children’s Hospital by hosting a cut-a-thon to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital’s Heart Center. Founded in 2010 by business partners John Frieda and Gail Federici, HAIRraising is a charitable initiative that brings together the salon and hair care communities, who give their time and talent, offering discounted haircuts in exchange for a set donation to help seriously sick children.
“We’ve had so much support from some of the biggest names in the business and we’re consistently overwhelmed and amazed by the level of commitment this effort receives from salon owners and stylists,” Frieda said. “It’s a special community, coming together for a special cause, and for that we are very grateful.”
