An 18-year-old was killed and four others were badly injured in a two-car crash in Meredith, New Hampshire, on Sunday night.
Meredith police said Hannah Chaignot, of Meredith, died at the scene of the crash on Daniel Webster Highway around 6:24 p.m. She was a passenger in a Pontiac G6 that collided with a Subaru Outback.

According to the Laconia Daily Sun, Chaignot was a 2023 graduate of Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith.
The 19-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger in the Pontiac and the 87-year-old driver and an 87-year-old passenger in the Subaru suffered serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to local hospitals. Three of the patients were later airlifted by medical helicopter to Boston-area hospitals.

Daniel Webster Highway was shut down in the area of the crash until about midnight for accident investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
