Man Guilty of Killing College Student in Pedestrian Crash

A man has been found guilty of striking and killing a college student with his SUV last summer in Sharon, Massachusetts.

Jeffrey Bickoff, now 45, hit 20-year-old Haley Cremer on June 15, sending her flying more than 85 feet near the intersection of Hampton Road and Dogwood Road.

Cremer, a physical therapy student, had just completed her sophomore year at Simmons College.

Bickoff's license had been suspended before the crash. Wednesday, he was convicted of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, as well as reckless assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 31.
