Man Indicted in July Stabbing Death

Robert Weidman, 50, faces charges in the death of Risiannery Bienvenido, 27

A Lowell, Massachusetts, man has been indicted on a charge of murder in connection with the stabbing connection of a Lawrence man, according to the Middlesex DA’s office.

Robert Weidman, 50, faces charges of murder in the first degree, armed assault with intent to rob and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury.

Authorizes responded to the report of a stabbing on July 10 on Woburn Street. Police located the victim initially identified Hector Almedina, 27, suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to Lahey

Clinic in Burlington where he subsequently died the following morning.

When attempting to locate next of kin for Almedina, authorities learned the true identity of the victim was Risiannery Bienvenido, 27, of Lawrence. Authorities believe he was stabbed several timed following an armed robbery.

Weidman was arrested following investigation and has been held without bail following his arraignment.
