A serious crash involving a pickup truck and a utility pole shut down a portion of Route 9 in Natick, Massachusetts Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the crash, on the westbound side of the roadway, happened near Speen Street just after 4 p.m.
Some westbound traffic had to be diverted onto nearby Route 27 for about an hour, causing serious delays in the area. After the scene was cleared, both lanes were once again getting by.

A medical helicopter was requested but the extent of injuries was unclear.
