Pammy's Opens in Cambridge

A highly-anticipated restaurant opened in Cambridge Monday, and it moves into the space where an Indian eatery had been.

According to a Facebook post, Pammy's opened Monday at 5:30 PM, taking over the Mass. Ave. space between Harvard Square and Central Square where India Castle was. The Facebook page for the dining spot mentions that it is a "New American Trattoria" that has Italian influences while also having "the freedom to explore an unlimited set of flavors, one that now defines American cuisine." Beer, wine, and cocktails are available at Pammy's, which is open Monday through Saturday for dinner.

In late 2015, we reported that a restaurant tentatively called "Thresher" was opening in the India Castle space, but the name was soon changed to Pammy's; the people behind the place are Pam and Christopher Willis, while an earlier post indicated that the kitchen will apparently be anchored by chefs who have worked at such places as Jean Georges, Clio, Franny’s in Brooklyn, and Rialto.
