Police Got a Call for a Dog on the Ice. Turns Out It Was Actually a Coyote

Authorities said the coyote appeared healthy and was not in any trouble

Police in Boston and Cambridge responded to the Charles River on Wednesday morning for reports of a dog on the ice near Boston University that might be in need of rescue.

But when Boston firefighters and Massachusetts State Police got there, they found a coyote instead of someone's pet.

They said the coyote appeared healthy and was not in any trouble.
