Pregnant Woman Hurt in Altercation in Manchester, NH, Police Say

A pregnant woman was injured Sunday night during a fight in Manchester, New Hampshire, police said.

Officers responded to the area of Bell and Union streets for a fight at about 8:30 p.m. When officers arrived, police said there was a large group of people but the fight had already ended.

One woman was taken to an area hospital for unspecified injuries. She was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, according to a Manchester police representative.

While police had initially said that officers learned the injured woman was nine months pregnant and that her water had broke during the altercation, they later said that she had been checked out by doctors and that her water did not break in the incident.

The incident is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
