Man Dies in Roslindale After Shooting on ‘Quiet Street'

A man died after being shot in the Boston's Roslindale neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The shooting on Rowe Street near Brown Avenue was reported at 3:10 p.m., police said.

The victim succumbed to his injuries, according to police, who are investigating what happened. It's Boston's 23rd homicide of the year.

The man, later identified as 24-year-old Daniel Vo, of Boston, was found outside with multiple gunshot wounds.

"Officers are canvassing the neighborhood along with the homicide detectives looking for witnesses, any video or any information that may help facilitate the investigation," Police Commissioner William Gross said at the scene.

"These should not be happening, these homicides, these acts of violence, especially on a quiet street like this," Gross added.

Anyone with information can call police at 1-800-494-TIPS.

Authorities haven't said who might have fired the shot or what sparked the shooting.
