Authorities in New Hampshire say the suspicious death of a man found inside a Nashua apartment over the weekend has been ruled a homicide.
After receiving a 911 call at about midnight Saturday, officers responded to 19 Buck St. and found the body of 49-year-old David Smith inside the home.
After an autopsy was performed Monday, the New Hampshire Attorney General's office said Smith died from a single gunshot wound.
Authorities have not released any other details but neighbors say the area is a rough section of the city.
"I’ve heard rumors that he was tied up," said neighbor Robert Mele. "You would never want that to happen in your neighborhood let alone right outside your window."
Longtime resident James Cutter said the neighborhood has changed so much since he moved in back in 1977.
"We're in a neighborhood that these things can happen," he said.
