Woman Charged With OUI After Crashing With Child in Car

A woman is facing several charges in New Hampshire including driving under the influence after crashing with her 4-year-old child in the car.

Officers responding to a car crash on Londonderry Turnpike in Manchester on Thursday afternoon found a heavily-damaged red SUV in the middle of the road. The driver, later identified as Sadie Kowack, 26, was sitting on the side of the road with her child.

An investigation into the crash suggested that Kowack hit the passenger side of another car as she was pulling out of a parking lot along the turnpike. Other evidence at the scene of the crash led officers to believe Kowack was intoxicated.

Kowack is charged with aggravated OUI and endangering the welfare of a child.

She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Circuit Court on Sept. 19. It is unclear if she has an attorney.
