A California woman was seen clinging to the hood of a getaway car as it sped through downtown Los Angeles after thieves stole her beloved French bulldog.

Ali Zacharias was having lunch outside of a Whole Foods with her dog Onyx when someone swiped her fur-baby and ran to a waiting car, which had another person inside. Zacharias said she tried to stop the thieves by standing in front of the car, but they drove into her and she fell on the hood.

Zacharias desperately held on as they took off in a white Kia Forte, according to video captured by a bystander.

The car swerved at one point and Zacarias rolled off. She suffered minor injuries in the ordeal.

Zacarias said Onyx has white fur, black spots and two different colored eyes — one green and the other pale blue. She is hoping those distinct features will help someone spot him and report it to police.

"I just wanna say, if you need help or something, you can just ask for it. You don't have to go steal my dog, that's my baby I can't give that to you," said Ali Zacharias, the dog's owner.

Editors note: The woman initially said there were four people who stole her dog but LAPD later confirmed they are looking for two people.
