We enjoyed some filtered sunshine Thursday, with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. It was a nice spring Thursday afternoon, and more warmth is on the way.

Overnight lows will stay in the 40s for most as a south wind continues to keep the mild air in place, along with clouds to trap in the daytime heat. The wind will become gusty from the south on Friday, and should help to disperse some of the fog that develops overnight.

Highs soar into the upper 50s and low 60s, with cooler temps along the southern beaches. A few spot showers are possible in the morning ,with plenty of breaks in the afternoon to enjoy some warm weather.

Between 5 and 11 p.m., the cold front approaches eastern New England and will help trigger more widespread rain with an embedded thunderstorm, especially across southeastern New England. Rain tapers off overnight.

Colder temperatures return for the weekend. A few clouds and some upslope snow showers are likely Saturday. St. Patrick’s Day will be even cooler, with highs in the low 40s and a west breeze will make it feel like the mid-30s during the parades.

There is a storm possibly passing just south of us Monday into Tuesday that may bring a light snow chance through southern New England. High temps stay in the low to mid 40s Monday through Wednesday. Another chance for a wintry mix moves through Wednesday into Thursday. Highs rebound from the 40s to low 50s into next weekend.
