International Women’s Day: Rallies, Marches and Milestones

On March 8, women and groups across the globe are holding self-defense trainings, rallies, protests and other events to mark International Women's Day, which was originally called International Working Women's Day. Participants are speaking out against sexual violence again women, the pay gap and objectification, among other issues, as well as highlighting the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
