A third victim has died in Friday's head-on crash in Easton, Massachusetts.
Police responded to the two-vehicle crash on Depot Street around 6 p.m.
Authorities said an initial investigation revealed that the driver of a Chevrolet HHR crossed the center line and slammed into a Toyota Sequoia SUV.
Police said the driver of the Chevrolet, William Fleming, 58, of Easton, and passenger Kayleigh Desrosiers, 17, of Halifax died at the scene. A passenger in the back seat, Robert Fleming, 17, of Easton, was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, then flown to a Boston hospital where he later died.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Fleming’s classmates at Oliver Ames School were devastated after learning of his death.
“He was just a great kid and I mean no class is going to be the same without him,” said student Ryan McGarry. “It’s a shock because we’re just so young still. We’re just beginning to realize how fragile life is.”
