Man Charged With Murder After Victim Fatally Stabbed



    Arrest Made in Fatal New Bedford Stabbing

    The suspect is expected in court on Monday.

    A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old man in New Bedford, Massachusetts, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's office.

    William Macomber, 55, of New Bedford was arrested early Sunday morning in connection with the death of Steven Doyle, also of New Bedford, officials say.

    Police say Doyle was stabbed in the chest during an altercation inside a home on Emerson Street and later died at St. Luke's Hospital.

    An investigation then led authorities to Macomber, who was located on Shawmut Avenue.
