Blood drives, thanking Boston's veterans, and school cleanups are just some of the events that people can take part in for the 4th annual "One Boston Day", a day of service in the community to celebrate the cities resilience following the marathon bombing in 2013.

On Tuesday Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced the ways for people to get involved in the community on April 15th, 2018.

"One Boston Day has turned the Marathon into a movement our entire city has rallied around, spreading the message of kindness and goodwill across the world," said Walsh.

"One Boston Day" encourages random acts of kindess and spreading goodwill across the city with activities that give back to the community.

Some of the events will include a blood drive at City Hall Plaza, a sneaker drive to benefit the St. Francis House, a school cleanup at the William E. Carter School in Roxbury, and the MR8 Day of Service which will help with neighborhood beautification.

You can find the schedule and sign up to volunteer at the One Boston Day website.
