It looks like a suburban restaurant that replaced an Irish pub has closed after a very brief time in business.
According to a post on Twitter from @gfinsider, Grande Kitchen + Bar in Newton appears to be shuttered, with the OpenTable page for the Needham Street spot saying it is "permanently closed" and a Yelp poster also saying that it has shut down with "no reason" given for it. Phone calls to the place have gone unanswered this afternoon and its website is no longer working.
In-depth news coverage of the Greater Boston Area.
Grande Kitchen + Bar first opened this summer, offering New American fare and comfort food along with beer, wine, and cocktails; the place had changed over from Mick Morgan's which was under the same ownership, with the other location of the Irish pub in Sharon remaining in operation.
The address for this now-closed restaurant in Newton was: Grande Kitchen + Bar, 118 Needham Street, Newton, MA, 02464.
