A brush fire has been extinguished and regular service has resumed on the Red Line of the MBTA.

Shuttles had been replacing train service between JFK/UMass and Ashmont due to a fire near Savin Hill in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

The MBTA said just after 5 p.m. that the fire was out and service was back to normal.
