After a few cool, showery days we’re close to a summer preview across New England.
While there still may be a spot shower or two on Tuesday, the general idea will be that skies turn brighter during the day. That allows temperatures to climb from the 40s during the morning, into the 60s and even near 70 by afternoon.
High pressure anchored to our south on Wednesday sends in a southwest wind and milder air. Highs surge into the 70s and 80s with sunshine! The only exception is along the South Coast, Cape, and Islands where we’ll see 60s courtesy of a cool ocean influence.

In far Northern New England there may be a spot shower or storm as a cold front nears, but the vast majority of us will be dry.
That same front sags farther south Thursday, increasing the risk of a few pop-up showers and storms. Highs will still reach the 70s and 80s.
The front continues to creep through Friday, so we’ll have more scattered showers and storms. Temperatures will also be a bit cooler as a result, but we’ll still reach the 70s in many spots.
Behind the cold front next weekend, highs will settle into the 60s for most.
