Hernandez Lawyers: Prosecutors Lifted Passages From Tsarnaev Motion

Lawyers for former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have accused Massachusetts prosecutors of lifting passages from a court filing by federal prosecutors arguing against moving the trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Lawyers for former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have accused Massachusetts prosecutors of lifting passages from a court filing by federal prosecutors arguing against moving the trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Hernandez's defense team is to argue in court Thursday that his murder trial be moved out of Bristol County.

In a court filing earlier this month, Bristol prosecutors questioned the reliability of a defense poll that found 7 in 10 adults in Bristol County believe Hernandez is either definitely or probably guilty in the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd. He has pleaded not guilty.

Hernandez's lawyers said in a filing Wednesday that Bristol prosecutors borrowed heavily, without attribution, some of the same arguments prosecutors made against a defense poll in Tsarnaev's case.

A spokesman for Bristol prosecutors didn't immediately return a call.
