After a two-day search by local and state police for a possible missing swimmer in a Cape Cod lake, no victim was found, authorities said Wednesday.
Crews began searching Scargo Lake in Dennis Tuesday after a report of a possible man in distress just before 4 p.m., Yarmouth fire officials confirmed.
A dive team was called to the lake to search, authorities said, but dive operations had been suspended late Tuesday night.
After resuming the search Wednesday using divers, sonar equipment, a helicopter and drones, the Barnstable County Dive Team and state police said there were no signs of a victim.
There were also no missing persons reported to the Dennis Police Department.
