Injured New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. weighed in on social media after Tom Brady's sideline spat with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels on Sunday.
Beckham, who has been criticized in the past for his sideline behavior, responded to someone who asked on Twitter why the New England Patriots quarterback's sideline antics are described as "passion," while someone like Beckham is ripped for being "immature" or "selfish" when he does something similar.
"I LITERALLY had this same conversation today about the EXACT thing ur talking about it..." Beckham replied. "I've watched that man do that exact same thing for years."
But Beckham also made it very clear that he wasn't criticizing Brady.
"I learned from him," he continued. "This is the (goat emoji). So I'm following his lead, I just may not know how to express it the same way. But don't get it confused, how 12 feels about the game, I would have a hard time sayin that's not EXACTLY how I feel. #GoatChasin"
Brady's frustrations spilled over in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills after a 14-play drive ended with a field goal by Stephen Gostkowski. TV cameras caught Brady and McDaniels in a heated discussion on the sideline.
"It's just football," Brady said after the game. "We've been around each other a lot. I love Josh."
