U.S. News and World Report has released its annual ranking of the nation's top high schools.
Only two public schools in New England -- Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, Maine and Boston Latin in Boston, Massachusetts -- cracked the top 100 on the new list.
Schools were given medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
